At the University of Florida, I decided to study Japanese as my foreign language. Unsure exactly what to expect, my background in Chinese helped me in regards to writing - but other than that, I was flying blind! After studying the language for two years, my speaking skills improved by leaps and bounds, but I still have a lot to learn.

Below are two videos of me speaking Japanese. These were part of an ongoing social media project between the U.F. Japanese Department and K.I.T University's English Language Department. By exchanging videos with Japanese university students, my class was able to get a closer look into their lives and learn about people so similar yet different from ourselves.
