About Me

This website started as an undergraduate project. In order to obtain an International Scholars Program certificate award, one had to complete and submit an ePortfolio, something that showcases your unique story and the international nature of your undergraduate career.

I took the opportunity to not only organize my various experiences and coursework, but also justify my choice of degrees, all wrapped in one narrative. After all, Environmental Science and International Studies aren't often paired together, and I was asked many questions by too many curious people not to do this! How could I best explain that my Environmental Science coursework showed me a massive disconnect between the world's sustainability needs and actual policies? Should I draw out how fundamental agriculture is to food security threats in the developing world, then emphasize how important it is that we progress agriculture in an environmentally sustainable way? Perhaps I should detail the importance of international institutions in facilitating sustainable collaboration? No, I knew it would be far simpler to send them to my ePortfolio instead.

Since graduation, I have maintained this website as more than an undergrad project. As a testament to my international journey and motivations, the stories and photos this website contains showcase my talent and drive to pursue a career in environmental science. For those times when a resumé just doesn't cut it, this site gets the job done.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Florida, where I studied Environmental Science and International Studies (Asia), while minoring in International Development and Humanitarian Assistance.

Whenever I tell someone about my degrees and what I've accomplished so far, their immediate follow-up question is, "So what do you want to do with all that?" Which is always such a fun, interesting question for undergrads to answer.

Far from conventional, my journey is a testament to the ways in which the world is changing. After all the experiences I've had, I would like to one day pursue a graduate degree which would enable me to work in the field of environmental policy, then go on to work with either a government department, NGO, or private environmental business.

Professional Experience

PRofessional experience

As a university graduate, I endeavor to continue learning, to gain as much valuable experience as I can to prepare me for whatever comes next. Though I aim to apply attend graduate school one day, for now I am working towards developing my skills and abilities. Exploring the various directions my degree can take me, I invite you to click below to see the ways in which I'm preparing myself for a career in environmental policy.

I hope this ePortfolio has given you a bit more insight into the way I see the world. The journey was long and difficult, but it made me the person I am today - and I wouldn't change a thing!
